Daily Schedule
Every day follows the same warm, structured rhythm – so children always know what to expect, and parents always know their child is exactly where they should be.
6:30 – 8:30 AM
Doors open at 6:30 AM - early enough for the full workday. Children arrive, settle in, and enjoy a nutritious breakfast together before the morning gets going.
8:30 – 9:30 AM
The group gathers for morning circle - learning about the day's destination, what to expect, excitement building. A calm, purposeful start that prepares every child for the adventure ahead.
9:30 AM – 2:00 PM
The main event - fully supervised off-site field trip to the day's destination. Zoo, aquarium, water park, ice skating, trampoline park, botanical gardens, theater, movie, museum, or splash day. Every trip is age-appropriate, educational, and genuinely fun.
2:00 – 3:30 PM
Back at camp - children enjoy a full hot lunch together, decompress, share what they saw and did, and have a quiet rest period. A necessary reset after a big morning out.
3:30 – 5:00 PM
Arts and crafts, yoga, dancing, drama, story time, group games, and creative projects — the afternoon enrichment block builds real skills while keeping children genuinely engaged after their big adventure.
5:00 – 6:00 PM
Afternoon snack, free play, and gentle wind-down as families begin arriving for pickup. Children are relaxed, fed, and full of stories for the drive home. Pickup closes at 6:00 PM.

Our summer camp doors open at 6:30 AM, Monday through Friday, and the program runs until 6:00 PM. This extended schedule is specifically designed to accommodate working parents who need coverage for their full workday. Many area camp programs don’t open until 8:00 AM — our earlier start gives working families more flexibility. All parents must pick up by 6:00 PM.
Above & Beyond’s summer camp serves school-age children ages 5 through 11 years old — generally kindergarten through 5th grade. Yes – fully licensed and doubly accredited. Above & Beyond Preschool holds Gold Seal Quality Care certification from the Florida Department of Children and Families and APPLE Accreditation – the two highest quality designations available in Florida. No other summer camp in the immediate Royal Palm Beach area holds both. All staff are trained in CPR, first aid, and field trip safety protocols. Child-to-staff ratios are maintained both at the center and during every off-site field trip.
First-time campers are completely welcome — in fact, they often have the best experience because everything is brand new and exciting. Our staff is experienced in welcoming children who are nervous about a new environment. We pair first-timers with caring staff members who help them settle in, connect with other children, and build confidence over the first few days. The daily field trip structure also helps — when you’re heading to the zoo or water park, it’s easy to feel excited rather than anxious. Most children who were nervous on day one are asking to come back by day three.
We use the ProCare app to send daily updates, photos, and activity notes directly to your phone throughout the day. You’ll see where they went, what they did, and how they’re doing — all before you even pull into the parking lot for pickup.
