Mastering all letter names, beginning letter-sound correspondence, writing their first name with consistent formation, counting to 20 with growing accuracy, and settling into classroom routines with growing independence.
51–54 Months
Solid letter-sound knowledge, beginning to blend CVC words, writing their last name, extending counting beyond 20, early addition with objects, and using comprehension strategies during read-alouds.
54–57 Months
Blending and reading simple CVC words, writing sentences with teacher support, math journaling, participating in multi-day project-based learning, and demonstrating advanced conflict resolution skills.
57–60 Months
All 26 letters and sounds, reading simple words, full name in correct formation, counting to 20+ with early addition, strong comprehension, and the attention, focus, and social skills to thrive from VPK and kindergarten day one.

Our Frog Street Pre-K 4 program is a complete, research-validated curriculum with structured literacy blocks, systematic phonics, writing workshop, math journaling, and project-based learning. Most preschools offer loosely themed activities. We deliver intentional, assessment-driven instruction — the kind that shows up in kindergarten readiness assessments.
A typical day includes intentional morning circle, structured literacy block with phonics instruction, writing workshop, math (number talks, journaling, hands-on activities), read-aloud with comprehension strategies, STEM or project-based exploration, outdoor active play, creative arts, snack and lunch, rest time, and small group instruction. Every minute is purposeful.
We use the ProCare app to send daily updates, photos, and activity reports directly to your phone. We conduct regular skill assessments and share progress reports with families. Our teachers are also available for in-person conversations at pickup — we stay in constant communication so you always know where your child stands.
